Ash shook his head and said, "His body will become food for the various animals of this land.... That's how he would've wanted it." He looked over at the carcass, then said, "We have to remove the crystals from his eyes... And most of his scales... And his teeth and claws. " He sighed.

Molly nodded at the first part but then double took, "Wait... Crystals?" She looked out at the dead dragon, "He's covered in crystal?" She took off her red jacket and wrapped it around her waist, tying it. "Let's get to work... How might you remove them?"

Ash shook his head and said, "There are crystals in his eyes. By my guess, his would be a garnet. Then we must remove his scales and claws... I can do it..." He held his hands out to the corpse and a blast of fire shot out, wrapping around the corpse. He grabbed a large soft silk sack from his bag and held it open. In about 10 seconds, the fire had cooked all of the scales off, and the gathered in one pile. He scooped every single one of those up, then said, "NOW comes the dirty work... This is probably going to be bloody..."

Molly would help, but she wasn't quite sure how to do it, "What's this next step?" She asked softly, amazed at how he pulled it off with his head held high.

Joe looked her in the eye and said, "We have to pull the teeth and claws out one by one, while the body is still fresh. Then, we have to tear the crystals out of his eyes, which will be extremely bloody..."

Molly nodded. "I was trained for war. This will be a breeze." She said calmly. She went up to the head of the corpse and wrapped her fire around the gum of the teeth. The gums began melting, letting the teeth come loose with ease. She pulled the fire back into her before it could spread. "Why must you rescue the crystals? Is it because the animals can't reach the meat with them present?"

Ash looked at her and said, "If anybody found this corpse... They could probably sell it to a rich collector for millions of dollars. It would likely be stuffed with cement and made into a statue for him. The crystals.... The crystals need to be taken out, and the teeth and claws, so the animals can eat it swiftly. It will be gone within two or three days..." He put the sack of scales in the bag, then picked up one of his gigantic feet and, very gently, wiggled the claws free with his bare hands.

After they took all the claws, scales, and whatnot out, Molly wiped her arm across her forehead. The crickets were starting to chirp out and the sun wasn't visible on the horizon any longer. "He looks quite bare now..." She said, looking at what remained of the mighty dragon. Which wasn't much.

Ash looked at Garkago's body, the naked, golden-brown skin covering him now withered from the sunlight. He took a claw from his bag and held it up to the sun. It glistened in the light.

"What are you planning on doing with those?" Molly asked, undeniably curious. She looked on at the naked body with remorse...

Ash shrugged and said, "I can fashion them into ornaments, things of that nature." He put the claw back into his bag, then looked at Molly.

Molly thought about this for a moment and then sighed, "Well, alright. I suppose that's... appropriate?" She raised an eyebrow, wondering what else she really could have said. No real thoughts entered her head (AkA: Writers block)

Ash looked at her deeply and said, "These are very sacred artifacts... Anything fashioned from these could have a... Magical... Nature.... Garkago's spirit lives on in these.... Not literally, but figuratively...."

Molly nodded, "I suppose that makes quite a bit of sense itself as well. You seem to be quite logical." She nodded again for emphasis.

Ash shrugged and said, "I... I like to think things out and do and say what makes sense...." ((Me writers block too!))

"Well that's nice." Said molly, in a kind of monotonous tone. It was starting to get dark, so she decided she should get somewhere with AC and lighting. "Where might I find comfort in these dark unpleasant hours?"

Ash shrugged and said, "I haven't been here for that long.... But I'm sure there's a tavern or a hotel or somewhere...."

Molly gave him a look of distrust, "I don't feel comfortable going somewhere like that with you, I'm sorry..." She said with a shrug.

"You can go there, I can sleep anywhere. I didn't mean it like that..." I can sleep in that abandoned buolding with the hobos... Hehehheh..." He said with a smile and a laugh.

"Well alright then. It's just what it sounded like.." She said, a bit embarrassed. "So which way is the hotel then? or the Tavern?"

Ash laughed and said, "No idea... Probably somewhere in the city.... I'd go there for a beer or two.... Heheh." And smiled.
