In a loud 'whoosh' Ash landed in the gardens, holding Molly close to his chest. He set his feet on the ground, then hesitantly looked around and said, "It IS bigger. Wow!" He marveled at all of the flowers. Tulips, roses, gardenias, and daffodils.

As soon as they landed, Molly became free from him. She brushed herself off and took a look around. "Yes it's quite beautiful here." She agreed with a smile, following the small swirly path that led all the way around the garden, Her boots claking against the old brick path with each step.

Ash smiled, then looked around him and said, "It hasn't changed all that much!" Then, his eyes shot wide open, another flashback:
Ash sat, his legs crisscrossed, staring at all the flowers around him. A small, golden dragon crawled across his ankles and sat in his lap, staring up at him with its deep, yellow eyes. It licked Ash's cheek with a long tongue.
Ash staggered back, holding his head, and said, "A... Dragon? What...... I still can't remember!!!"

Molly looked at him curious, "A dragon? What are you talking about Ash?" She wondered curiously. She then looked at him with more curiosity, "You saw something... didn't you."

Ash nodded and said, "I saw... It was me! With a... A dragon! It was... gold. I... I don't know what's happening." He slowly took the bag off and his hand reached into a pocket, pulling out a small golden horn, about half a foot long. He brought it up and said, "I... I don't know how I know, but... This horn, it does something...." In runes along the side, in ancient Nordic runes, was a word. Ash looked at it and said, "Gar... Garkago?"

Molly curled her forefinger under her lip and rested her thumb slightly curved under her chin. A thoughtful expression came over her. "It's calling the Dragon... from what I know of Dragons- which, mind you, isn't much... They live quite long. It probably remembers you quite well, if you were it's aly..." She looked up at Ash curiously, wondering what kind of guy hung out with Dragons..

Ash thought about it for a moment, then put it to his lips and blew forcefully. From the depths and reverberations came a clear, yet muddy-sounding, noise. Like a foghorn, yet deeper. After he blew it, he put it back in the bag and said, "Oh well. Guess it don't do nothin'." Just then, a very loud roar came, it sounded miles away, yet the sheer fact that it could be heard was a testament to its volume.

Molly got goosebumps, "Wow.. I've never met a Dragon before..." She said, not listening when he had said that it didn't work. She couldn't help but stare off at the distant point where she thought she heard that roar. She felt excitement in the pit of her stomach.

Ash looked in the direction of the roar and said, "I... I think I remember now... Oh God, I hope he remembers me!" A loud thudding sound, steadily thumping every 4 seconds, could be heard in the distance, towards Sunset Mountain. A shiny speck could be seen in the distance, gettiong closer and large every second.

Molly wondered aloud, "If he's a dragon, I wonder why he does not fly?" She watched the dragon run with awe. "I'm sure he remembers you Ash, If he is coming by the sound of that Horn, He remembers." She gave him a small supportive smile and looked out again at the distant mass.

Ash nodded and said, "Well, I guess we'll find out soon..." He put his hand to the gun, just in case. The dragon came stampeding, it rushed past 20-foot trees, which he overhung by about 30 feet. He had a medium-long neck, and his golden scales glittered and shimmered in the sunlight, It stood regal, at east 200 yards away from them, then slowled down and started to walk towards them.

Molly looked up at the huge creature, quite frightened, though she said nothing. "D-do you remember him?" She asked Ash, only slightly above a whisper.

Ash nodded and said, "It's strange but... I... I do! I-I raised him from an egg.... His name is... Is... Garkago...." He held out his palm to the huge thing. It opened it's mouth, as if to speak, and a croaky rumble came from the depths of its throat. It issued a deep, 'Hrrrrrrr', Then, as if by magic, it spoke. "I've been waiting for a very long, long time Ashengard Von Helsing." He walked forward more, and in 10 loud steps he was about 30 feet from them. He bent his neck down to Ash, his craggy face about 1 foot from Ash's.

Molly found herself smiling at the scene, She took a bow in front of the dragon, feeling that it's best to be polite. "Garkago? Pleasure to meet you, I am Molly Rebson." She greeted courteously.

Ash glanced over at her, then said, "I know you have.... " Garkago swoveled his neck and looked at Molly, then said, "Molly Rebson..... You are quite fearless.... A less civilized member of my kin would have killed you on the spot..." He bowed in respect to her, then looked back at Ash and said, "Do you know, stupid boy, what happened when you left me behind as you died!?" Ash shook his head, and Garkago said, "I was sent into a void... For 500 years. Or so it seemed. I am now 599 years old.... My time of dying is soon...." He narrowed his eyes to slits and huffed, blowing thick black smoke into Ash's face.

Molly bowed her head again, "Thank you Garkago." She glanced up at the dragon, amazed at the aura of power and strength he seemed to emmit. What he said next made Molly quite sad, and she turned to Ash with an expression of Remorse, "How terrible" She commented softly.

Ash looked at the ground and said, "Garkago... I... I had no idea...." He kneeled on one knee to the dragon, then looked up and said softly, "I'm sorry... I truly am..." Garkago huffed again, then said, "You have already been forgiven, but I still think you are verry very foolish....." He nuzzled his snout against Ash's hair.

Molly giggled at the cute scene. Then she remembered something that Garkago ought to know, "Oh, Excuse me, but I'm afraid Ash has lost his memory. Perhaps you might guide him?" She knew that Ash could easily have asked this himself, but it just sort of blurted out.

Garkago swiveled his head around and said, "I know your name, Molly. Ash is... thinking about you at this very moment... He wanders why you are so nice to him? And... I am about to die. In 2 houres, death shall be upon me... I am glad that you two came when you did... I have a gift for YOU." He turned back around at Ash, and hacked and gagged. A lump slowly traveled up his throat, depositing itself in front of Ash. It was a pure white egg, with black speckles on it.

((Molly looked as if she had a revelation, "So that's where babies come from!" XP))
Molly looked at the dragon, listening to every word. She had no idea his death was so near. With a worried expression, she watch the egg splort out of his throat. "You kept that in your stomach?" She sounded shocked, placing a hand over her own throat in pity. Molly glanced at Ash to see the expression on his face. She was nice to him because, well, She wasn't exactly going to simply leave a guy to his own devices when he knew nothing about himself, or the world.. It was dangerous to find those things alone. Molly gazed at the egg, "It's quite pretty.." She said with a small smile, admiring it. She turned her gaze back up to the Dragon, "Are you afraid to Die?" She asked softly.

Garkago looked towards the ground, then reared his neck regally and said, "I await my battle with death, claws ready. I kept the egg in my fire pit... which is connected to my throat." He looked at the egg, then at the sky and belched a huge stream of fire, at least 50 yards long, then looked down at Ash and said, "Treat it well..." Then laid down with a large thump, rather like a cat or dog, but more regal.

Molly gave Ash a look of concern. She went over to him, and observed the egg. She placed her hands on it, curiously. It was warm. She could tell by the way Ash had been holding it that it was a bit heavy. Other than that, she could tell nothing. "What will you call it?" She asked with a small smile.

Ash looked up at her, and his normally blue eyes flashed, for a second, to a deep ruby red. "Ragnarok.... Ligthning.... That is what his name will be..." He said, and his eyes returned to their normal color. Garkago hacked wheezing coughs, and spat out thick black smoke and a strange, black, gooey liquid, somewhat like tar.

(("Isn't that the name of a manga series and an online RPG?"))
Molly turned towards the great beast and ran towards him, "Garkago!" She placed a hand on one of the scales covering it's foot. Her hand was smaller than that single scale. She was speechless, not knowing what she could do for it. How to make it less painful...

Garkago looked at her and said, "Do not worry for me... You cannot stop a dragon's death... I have lived for many years... I welcome death...." He buried his head in his side. Ash walked over and placed his hand on Garkago's neck, then rubbed it gently.

Molly gazed on for a moment and then turned and took a few steps back. She remained silent for a minute. She let Ash say his goodbyes...

Ash kneeld against Garkago and said, "Goodbye, old friend. I will miss you... I loved you, I want you to know that..." Garkago laid his head down, then said to Ash, "I will always love and miss you, also, Ashengard Von Helsing...." He coughed again, and another, alrger wad of tar came out. He then was silent, his chest stopped heaving, and silence reigned.

Molly waited patiently for Ash so they might move forward. If she had been religious, she might have crossed her chest. But for Molly... She knew there was another world out there, something past this one... But she didn't know what it was. She didn't imagine golden gates, or brimstone. Witnessing death truly made her wonder what it was she expected after death. She must have been daydreaming when Ash eventually rejoined her...

Ash stood up, then walked over to Molly, the egg clutched in his arm. A single tear fell down his cheek, but he wiped it aside and said, "I.... He was like family to me... And it was my fault that he died..."

Molly put a hand on his shoulder, "It wasn't your fault, Ash... You had no idea." She looked over to the shell of Garkago, "How might a Dragon be burried? The only form of anything we have at our disposal is inceneration.... We could scatter the ashes, if that's what you wish... Perhaps you know where he would have liked?"
