personality: Dark and uncaring for most, Raid doesn't even care what happens to Raid. He has always had a strong will, and was never affected by anybody trying to change his will, even if it be a power.
in character sample: Raid gave a sigh and smiled as he looked around slowly, watching all the others surrounding the portal. He waved at some, and some waved back. Sin, at his side, smiled as well, the shape shifter’s arms crossed in front of his chest. Raid turned around, his eyes falling on a black, teenaged dragon standing behind him. His smile softened, warmed, “Well, Shiek,” He said, his hands falling inside the pockets of his black jeans.
The dragon nodded, “Raid,” It said, closing its purple eyes for a moment, “You’re going into the future,” It stated simply, its voice a bit sorrowful, yet accepting.
“Yeah,” The hybrid replied, turning his head for a moment, silver eyes changing to a deep purple, matching the dragons, “And you’re staying behind,” His voice carried the same sorrow, the same acceptance.
“I have to exist every second, every year. It is my duty,” The dragon hung his head slightly, moving his eyes to keep his stare on Raid. He knew the hybrid would understand, and he knew that life wouldn’t be the same without him.
“Hey, don’t explain to me. It’ll only be a few months, maybe a year for me before we can locate each other. You’re the one who’ll lose a friend for a century,” He smiled again and laid his hand on Shiekron’s head, “Farewell, you old beast. See you in the upper side of a hundred years,” They both turned, the dragon vanishing and Raid walking forward into the portal.
“A shame to see this place go, brother,” Sin said, catching Raid, currently in deep thought, by surprise, “No telling what it’ll be like when we get back. But it won’t be the same,” The brothers had reached the rim of the portal and were stepping into it.
“You’re right. But at least we have friends with us to share the experience,” Raid glanced around the crowd again, still able to be seen even the two were the last to enter. His brow furrowed as he noticed something was missing. He couldn’t tell what…
“Kat…” He muttered, his eyes bursting open as he swung himself around towards the entrance of the rift, “KAT!” He took a step towards the mouth of the portal, and was immediately sucked back, “NO!” He screamed, his body starting to glow with something unearthly, luminescent because of its lack of light, everything being sucked into nothing, “KAT!”
Sin placed his hand on Raid’s shoulder, “Raid, brother, stop this! You’re going to tear the rift!”
Raid barely heard him, barely heard anything, “No! Kat! My daughter!” His voice filled the rift as the strange glow connected to the portal’s walls, darting up and down them.
“No…! Ngh,” Raid suddenly stopped, his hands flinging to his head, his eyes clenching shut. The glow diminished, yet became somehow fiercer, with something else behind it. Images flashed before his closed eyes, and he clenched them tighter, then, for reasons he didn’t understand, opened them, “Sin…?” His voice was strained, heavy, as he saw the rune mage being sucked into the wall of the portal.
“Raid…” Sin’s voice sounded far off, even though the two were within only a few feet away. His arm stretched out, caught by Raid’s.
“Brother, what… AH…” The hybrid clutched his head again with his left hand, the right one clutching Sin’s. Going into pain, though, Raid’s hand slipped and grabbed his brother’s soul. He let out a scream and let go, grabbing at his arm as a unique pain shot through it, “No!” Suddenly realizing he’d let his brother fall, he dove, trying to keep Sin from inevitable death, “Brother! SIN! AW!” More images rushed before his eyes, along with the sense that a powerful shape shifter and rune mage had just died, and his soul was safely transported to Heaven, “Where he belongs,” Raid muttered through his pain. Something was talking to him, trying to contact him, show him something, but the words, the pictures were jumbled. He fell to his knees, and in the same moment, realized he was grasping dirt.
Eyes fluttering open, the hybrid shed a cold tear. His conscious started to fade, but he struggled to keep it. So much had happened in the last few seconds. He lost his best friend, his brother, the love of his life, his unborn child…
“Heh,” He muttered to himself. No, not his unborn child. Not any more. She’d have more years than he now… Well, there were those time-warping chambers he’d spent millennia in, but those translated into a few months total, to everyone else… But she'd more time on this world, anyways. He shook his head, letting it rest on the ground. He’d have a hard time for a while. Not to mention whatever had contacted him in the portal…
“Ugh,” He muttered, closing his eyes again and laying down completely, “Too much to think about,” He slowly let himself pass out and selfishly handed these things to his subconscious.
