Ace seemed particularly out of place here, what with all the delicate little things that sat on barstools made of crystal- She was a piece of filth here, and no one could figure out how such a creature managed to afford entry in the first place. Ace ignored the high-class whispers and watched the dark purples and reds reflected in the glass. The place was pretty ritzy, she'd give it that. She crossed her legs and ordered a martini. It seemed the appropriate choice for such an atmosphere. Besides, no one seemed to care that she was only 17.

Atlas walked toward the bar slowly, he was sticking to the shadowy areas as was his custom, even then the slight purple glow coming from his arms and chest managed to give him away. He sat down next to Ace and stretched a little, he couldn't really decide what to order yet.

The Bartender delivered her martini, complete with the salt around the rim, and Ace took a sip of it through a straw. Even the straws seemed to be made of glass. She noticed the boy pull himself into the spot beside her and realized he didnt seem from this upper-class neighborhood either. She smirked, "Oy, what you in for?" She greeted in a kind of mischevious tone. She made the place sound like a prison.

" I'm just in to get a drink, maybe see if my girlfriend had decided to stop in here, the place is just high society enough for her to waste time here", Atlas answered with a small smirk, he had noticed how she seemed to look about as non high society as himself.

Ace nodded. "Is she from around here? Because you don't seem to be..." She took another slurp of her drink. It was having no affect on her. She thought of what would happen if she bit down hard enough on the glass straw. Surely this was a hazard or something. "Careful with the straws, by the way..." She added, conversationally.

Atlas laughed a little," Its sugar glass, its as hard and looks like the real stuff, but its entirely edible", He then said before ordering a soda for himself, he wasn't particularly interested in the idea of drinking.

Ace looked at the straw that she was drinking from, A little cross eyed. "Huh... " She said, amazed that they could acomplish that. She wasn't sure she trusted the guy's word enough to take a bite of it though. He could just be saying it to laugh at her when her mouth bled.

As soon as his drink arrived Atlas bit off the end of his straw and chewed it absently, "So what brings you here?", he then said just after swallowing the piece of sugar glass he was eating.

Ace watched him eat the glass, "Well, I guess the place looked cool from the outside, so I went in. Kind of uncomfortable now that I'm here though- The people here are all snobby Dicks." She said, probably louder than she should have, considering their company. She kind of believed it was edible a little bit more now, and cautiously brought the straw into her mouth and bit down with tenderness, a bit afraid...

Atlas took a drink through his now shorten straw, he realized he didn't know her name yet, " by the way my names atlas, whats yours?", He then said kind of awkwardly.

Ace chewed for a moment, "Ace." She said, not awkward at the least. "...It kind of tastes like watermelon." Ace had never eaten a watermelon, and she wrongly assumed that it tasted the same as watermelon hard candy. Little did she know they have nothing in common.

" really?, just tasted like sugar to me", atlas said as he eye'd his straw with new curiosity.

Ace shrugged, "It doesn't really matter." She stated. She took a big cracking bite out of her straw again, and a slurp of her martini with the salt around the rim. She thought for a moment, "Everything seems to taste like watermelon to me today..." She admitted. Ace sighed, "Just one of those days..."
