Niyu had heard music. It was a soft twangy melody, accompanied by the sounds of many people. Well, the noise of crowds wasn't new to her, after living in the city for this length of time. Niyu placed her hands against the wall to try and orient her way to the door. She smelt the sweet smell of meat being cooked in the kitchens, although flavoured with things that made Niyu's sensitive nose want to sneeze. She pushed at the air around her, creating the tiniest bit of a barrier, so that she might walk through the crowd without being knocked over.
She felt with the stale air in the place, moving the steam from the freshly cooked food about to have an idea of where she was. Hearing the chink of a cash register, and the hurried voices of people rushing in the kitchens.
"Can I take your order miss?" Said a waitress with an accent not from the City. Another might call it Chinese. Niyu turned towards where she heard the voice. "Huh?" She felt very confused. "What order? ... May I ask where I am?"
The waitress looked at Niyu's blank eyes and realised she was blind, "Oh, This is the Imperial Dragon, I'm sorry ma'am, I didn't realise. . ." Niyu sighed, "Please do not worry about it. Are there really Dragons here?" She asked hopefully.
"What? haha, of course not!" The waitress said lightheartedly. She helpfully took Niyu's arm and placed her at a table, "Would you like something to drink?" "Um, Yes please, if you would, a glass of water?" The waitress left and Niyu sat there, wondering how she might pay for the meal...
