Niranie stood at the edge of the forest with the most puzzled expression on her face. She'd been walking through this forest for days, with nothing to see or hear, and now, spread out before her over an impossible distance was what appeared to be a school. She looked over the cluster of buildings, quite intrigued. Where am I? she wondered. She could see people moving around, going about their business. She climbed a tree, on impulse, in order to get a better view. It was beautiful. The school was like a community all by itself in the middle of nowhere. She smiled, but it was interrupted by a yawn. The sight of the school had caused her to forget how tired she was. She promptly curled up in the tree, and went to sleep.

The loving sun will hide in any crowded forest; thus a black cat will take pleasure in the trees, for she won't be baked alive. Misty, who is strolling amongst the trees, stops and looks at the napping girl. "She is quite the beauty," she thought as she neared the sleeping one, making sure to act as natural as possible.

Niranie, feeling a presence near her, wakes and looks up. "Well, Hello." she says. She smiles at the large cat, and holds out her hand. "Who might you be?" She keeps her movements slow, and her voice soft. She has no desire to be maimed by a large animal, no matter how beautiful. "Am I in your tree? I'm sorry."

((Role playing tip: Never assume a character's anything(size, gender, attitude, etc.) because you never know how the person in charge of said character looks at their character.))
The black cat sat firmly in place next to the girl, and she cocked her head, staring with crimson eyes. The way she sat, she appeared to be a mere house cat, but then she spoke, "Oh my. You are indeed a strange one, are you not?" The cat then blinked and smiled, "You stare at me as if I'm some wild panther or at least a large animal; one that would kill or hide at any given movement." Her crimson eyes sparkled in what little sunlight there was, and she purred happily.

((I'm sorry...when I reread that, I realized that you might not actually be a cat... My bad. Thanks for the tip, though))
Niranie's mouth drops open, and she smiles in delight. She had never met such a person before. "I'm sorry," she says again, "I honestly thought you were just a cat. I hope I haven't offended you. It's very nice to meet you." Niranie smiles again, and holds out her hand out of habbit, but then doesn't quite know what to do with it...

Without a second thought, the black cat held her paw up and tried her best to place it in the girl's hand. "The pleasure of meeting a nice, young person is all mine, you see," she replied, "I am Misty, my dear Niranie." It was a cool day in Autumn, and although she was a cat, there was something more to her that any one could see. Misty got up to stretch, but only to sit back down again and look at the girl with her crimson eyes."Might I ask as to why you, such a lovely young girl, are out here it the nature this sort? I mean, should you not be out and about with others? Today, in this day of Autumn, is very much a lovely day," said Misty.

Niranie follows suit, and stands up to stretch a bit. She then sits back down, and says, "It's very nice to meet you, too, Misty. I've been traveling for a very long time. I'm new to this area. Would you be so kind as to tell me where I am?" Niranie looks at the cat enquiringly. Crimson eyes? This is truly no ordinary creature. But she seems kind, and she has given me no reason not to trust her. She's so beautiful... Niranie wonders in silence. A cool breeze begins to blow softly through the trees, and Niranie's eyes change from soft green, to a very light blue close to the color of the sky.

Misty purred; she liked Niranie's thoughts. "Yes, my dear lost child," she replied. A chilling gust blew by, and the leaves pranced on the wind like a pixie. "You and I are currently in the forest of the Mountain View Academy," continued Misty, "I am honestly shocked that one, a girl with super natural powers, would not know what a forest was." Misty smirked; she was delighted to see such young blood running around in the world.

"Oh, I'm quite familiar with forests," says Niranie happily, "I simply don't know this one. I'm guessing 'Mountain View Academy' is that school over there? It's quite a sight." Niranie glances over at the school, and is awe-struck once more. "What type of school is it?" Niranie looks back into Misty's wondrous eyes, and feels her blood begin to race for some reason. Her face becomes slightly flushed.

Misty paused in her place for a second, but she then decided to walk closer to the girl. "I will get to that piece of information in a little bit, but I will like to ask you a question before I tell you," said she with the crimson eyes. "May I see your powers," she quietly inquired.

"I don't see why not..." Niranie's eyes become a hazel color, and a small shiver runs through the tree supporting them. Her eyes then deepen to a dark brown as the tree slowly begins to sway and dance with movements that no natural wind could ever produce. The dance is otherworldly, but gentle, so as not to disturb its cargo of leaves, nests, girl, and cat. Then, another tree joins in, and another, until five trees are swaying in sync with each other. Niranie's eyes turn hazel as a gentle wind adds music to the dance, making the rhythm smooth and seamless. The leaves rustle, and it gives the impression of laughter. Slowly, the movement begins to slow. Then it is no more than the leaves swaying in a quite natural breeze. Niranie leans back on the trunk. "I haven't done that in quite some time..."

"That right there," said Misty, sitting up straight in a very elegant and dignified way, "Is only a mere fragment of what that supernatural academy can teach you. You see...that academy is populated with many children of all kinds, but there is a small catch. To be formally accepted by them, you must indeed have powers, and you do, so you are very permitted to enroll, but only if you wish so." She paused to think about the information she could give Nirane and continued, "The teachers there would be in an outstanding awe, for your power is immense, and you have almost complete control over said power."

"Really? They could teach me? Oh, that would be wonderful! That was the extent of my abilities. All I did was bring out the inner spirit of the trees. All tree spirits love to dance..." Niranie smiles and looks fondly at the forest around her. Her eyes come back to Misty, and she is once again in awe of this beautiful being. "Thank you so much for telling me about the school. I've been looking for a place like this since I left home. Who are you at the school? Are you a teacher?" Niranie is suddenly full of questions.

Misty's ears folded flat on her head, "I certainly do not teach at the academy, for every position there is filled. I can, however, tutor you in private, if you so wished." She perked back up and smiled oddly, that is, as best as a cat could. Looking around, she couldn't help but to gaze at the academy, "Many unfortunate and/or gifted children end up here. Some come to study, and others come to simply live as normally as they can and be safe." Misty looks back at Nirane, her tail rolling from side to side, "I do hope you enroll soon. The future will definitely be brighter for you if you do so."

"You would do that? You would teach me yourself? That would be wonderful! How do I enroll? When can I start?" Niranie is suddenly full of excitement. This is exactly the type of opportunity her father had told her to keep an eye out for. An opportunity to learn, and to live safely. She is full of new hope for the future.

Misty smiled a cloud of darkness engulfed her and the cat was no more. In the place of the pretty kitty was a stunning and radiant woman. However, she didn't look like a woman of normal nature. "Yes. I will most certainly teach you my very self if you so wish it," Misty began, "But, if you decide to enroll, I can take you to the very academy that would teach you what you need to know to grow, develop, and survive." She held out her porcelain-like, white hand to help her up.

Niranie, stunned by the cats transformation, is at first unable to react to Misty's hand. She quickly regains her senses, however, and hastily places her hand in Misty's to pull herself up. "That's amazing..." Niranie whispers softly. She glances back to the academy once more, and finds herself already beginning to think about it as a new home. She smiles and says, "I would like that very much. Thank you, Misty."

Misty nodded and smiled beautifully, revealing her stunning teeth, but her fangs stood out to the focus as the glistened in the sun. She then opened her eyes and saw Nirane's stature; for a split moment she lessened her smile as she noticed that she was considerably taller than Nirane. She then too looked at the academy with the original smile, "You are so very welcome, my dear, for I will help you in any way that you might need." Misty looked back at her, "Should we be on our merry way, or shall we converse a little bit more?"

Niranie looks over at Misty and also notices their difference in height. She also sees the glint of the fangs. She is slightly intimidated, but very good at keeping it hidden. "Why don't we walk and converse?" Niranie asks, eager to start her new life.

"As you insist," said Misty as she appeared to fall off the branch. She fell through many leaves and broke a few sticks along the way, but in the end she landed safely on her feet. A breeze blew the leaves and her hair; she looked back up at Nirane ready to set off on their journey to the academy.

Niranie floats down slowly, with less damage inflicted. She keeps a steady buffet of wind beneath her to slow her speed. She touches down as light as a feather. "There's no hurry, of course," Niranie says amiably, "If you have a different preference, that's perfectly fine." Niranie turns and gently touches the tree they were in with her palm. She whispers thanks to it. She then turns back to Misty and smiles.

Misty nodded to Nirane. She raised her hand, like a student in school, but she was slow and elegant about it, then she held her palm flat. The top part of an umbrella appeared above her; it was made of darkness, so the area around her was not only cool, but the shade was very dark. Misty walked strolled towards the school, waiting for Nirane to fallow.

Niranie hastened to catch up, and then fell into step beside Misty. She did not attempt to step under the shade. It seemed very private to her, and she preferred the filtered sunlight anyway. It was a beautiful day, and she was so happy with the current events that she wanted to skip and sing through the trees. However, she didn't think that that would be the best idea in present company. "What sort of powers do you have, Misty?" she asked, looking curiously at the umbrella.

Misty smirked, for she knew the inevitable question would come up. "My dear Nirane, might you have a slight clue as to what I am," she inquired of her. They emerged onto a wide open field, and the girls found themselves in the intense sunlight. Misty wasn't too fond of it, but she was overjoyed to have the darkness overhead.

As they walked into the field, Niranie couldn't help but smile at the beauty of it all, even as she pondered Misty's question. Niranie gazed at Misty for a moment, completely stumped. "No..." she said somewhat hesitantly, "should I know what you are?"

They continued to walk onward to the academy. "She really is ignorant," thought Misty with a happy smile. It was refreshing to her seeing such innocence in the world once more, for she lost sight of her's a long time ago. "Niranie," Misty began with a calm in the air, "I am a vampire. One, such as yourself, should recognize the unnatural aura about me; you, however, are different. I cannot remember to safe my life just how old I am, but I know I have lived more than I should have." She glanced over to the young one behind her, "It really is quite an experience when one thinks about it."

Niranie's mouth had dropped open, slightly. As a child, her father had often told her terrifying stories about evil vampires that sucked on the blood of the very innocents Misty had mentioned. He had painted disgusting images, of lifeless corpses with a semblance of life sustained by the lives of others. They had been evil, and feral. None of those images in Niranie's head matched up with the woman standing before her. For several moments, she was quite speechless.

Misty stopped dead in her tracks, for she knew that emotion on her face: terror, confusion, disbelief, shock. Those were quite common characteristics of the innocent when they meet a worker of death. She turned around and made eye contact with the girl, "I am ever so sorry that another situation has made you not like beings such as myself, but you must understand that the vampire community is in a very round about way much like the human's. There are scum humans and there are scum vampires. Yes, there are indeed vampires that seek out humans for their own feeding, and then there are vampires that take only what is necessary for living." She held her free hand out and smiled faintly, "Please do trust me, for I'm not going to steal your life."
